Alia was funded by Screen Ireland. We had brilliant cast and crew working on this short and it was especially lovely to work with the Shafaq family here in Dublin. Bariya Shafaq starred in the film. She’s a non-actor but really devoted herself to the role. Her family gave us so much help and advice before and during the shoot so many thanks to them.
